How do I know what week I'm in?
Pregnancy is counted in weeks from the first day of your last menstrual period (LMP) — about two weeks before you actually conceived. That's the same gestational age your doctor uses. Counting the full weeks from your LMP to today tells you exactly how far along you are.

The three trimesters
What trimester am I in?
A full pregnancy is about 40 weeks, split into three trimesters — each with its own milestones and wardrobe needs.
First trimester
Organs form and the heartbeat begins. Waistbands tighten first — belly bands and soft tops keep you comfy.
Second trimester
The "honeymoon" stage. Your bump shows — perfect timing for photoshoot gowns and baby-shower dresses.
Third trimester
Baby grows fast as birth nears. Nursing-ready styles and delivery robes get you set for the big day.

Questions
Pregnancy weeks, answered
How do I know how many weeks pregnant I am?
Your week count, called gestational age, is measured from the first day of your last menstrual period — not from conception. Enter your last period, conception date, or due date above and the calculator shows your exact week and day instantly.
How many weeks is a full pregnancy?
A full-term pregnancy lasts about 40 weeks (280 days) from the first day of your last period. Anything from 37 to 42 weeks is considered normal, and only about 1 in 20 babies arrives on the exact due date.
How many weeks pregnant is "X months"?
Pregnancy months don't map neatly to four weeks each. Roughly: month 1 is weeks 1–4, month 3 ends around week 13, month 6 around week 27, and month 9 spans weeks 36–40. Most providers track weeks, not months, for accuracy.
How big is my baby this week?
It changes every week — from a poppy seed at week 4 to a watermelon near week 40. Run the calculator above and we'll show you a fruit-and-veg comparison for your current week.
I don't remember my last period — can I still use this?
Yes. Switch to the "Conception" tab if you know roughly when you conceived, or the "Due date" tab if a provider already gave you one. The calculator works backwards from either date.
